The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from the central station. It is quite close to the central park and castle. There are plenty of dining options nearby and they have their own restaurant. They have a self check-in with staff available should you need it. The hotel has had quite a bit of remodeling done during the last couple years. It is clean and modern and the rooms are a decent size. My room happened to be an accessibility room meaning it was laid out for someone in a wheelchair. The beds and temperature were comfortable. Breakfast is available at their restaurant if you paid for it. I did not so I cannot say how the quality was there. Overall though, I was happy with this hotel and can recommend it. The reason for the lower star rating on the service is mainly due to the fact that it seems to have an emphasis more on self-service. The one time I did speak to a staff member, they were friendly.

Location is great, but it's not worth the price! Breakfast - I asked if the hotel could provide vegan breakfast for me, they said yes. However, at breakfast when I told the responsible person he said that they don't provide special meals and that I had vegetables and fresh fruit to eat. I didn't expect a massive personalized breakfast meal, but there wasn't even vegan butter, or a single vegan source of protein (say for instance, simple fried tofu or store-bought hummus). This wouldn't have been an issue for me if I'd only stayed at the hotel a couple of days, but I stayed there for 7 nights, which is far too long to go having only potatoes, tomatoes and cucumber for breakfast. Cleanliness - There were pieces of hair on the floor and IN the bed, at check-in! The sheets smelled bad. I told the cleaning staff about this, who were noticeably stressed, but luckily the staff changed the sheets in the bed later that same day. Room - Very small, bad air/smell in the room. Great internet connection though! Overall - Feels more like a hostel than a hotel. For just a bit more money, I'd definitely recommend people to stay at any other hotel in Oslo. Or an airbnb, or even a hostel. Hotel Verdandi in Oslo just wasn't worth the price...

Annoying engine sounds from the moment I arrived in my room to the moment I left. I get that non-premium rooms give you smaller spaces, no views/windows and all. Fair enough. But this type of issue shouldn’t be an economy-rate problem. I stay in Oslo every now and then for work, and I can say other hotels in the same category and price are more comfortable.

Verdandi hotel is conveniently located right in Oslo city center. Many sights are in walking distance. The hotel is modern but seemed a bit worn. The room was clean and tidy but a bit small, bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet available with warm and cold dishes at good quality. Parking is limited and you might have to go to a garage or another hotel around the corner. WiFi was a bit slow. Overall acceptable value for 95€ per night I paid.

Very clean hotel, and the complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations, very tasty. Staff are friendly too. I found my room to be freezing cold, which was somewhat mitigated by changing the thermostat from 12 to 21. But never quite got warm enough. Also the lights next to the bed were not working. The shower also does not have a door and water went all over the bathroom,I had to sweep the water towards the drain with a towel because there was no drain incline. The location and price of the hotel is good though.

This accommodation lies right in the middle of Oslo’s city centre which is an excellent starting point for a stay in Norway’s beautiful capital. The breakfast buffet is marvellous offering a great choice of different breakfast treats. Highly recommended.

Rooms are SMALL! The location is really central.. Jerry in the bar is the best part of the hotel!! Location, is very centric so, very expensive. Maybe the hotel is too expensive for what is in the room. Not even a small fridge in the room.
